Feel free to eavesdrop\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEBORAH CAMACHO, Joico International Guest Artist, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and Nogales, AZ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bragging rights:<\/strong> I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On my nightstand:<\/strong> Pretty much the basics\u2013magazines, contacts, and my cell phone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019ll cry if I\u2019m out of:<\/strong> Joico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joico.lat\/en\/k-pak\/\">K-PAK<\/a> Hair Repair System, Vero K-PAK Cr\u00e8me Lightener, LumiShine\u00ae 9NV (my favorite shade of blonde!), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joico.lat\/en\/hair-care\/k-pak-smoothing-balm\/\">K-PAK Smoothing Balm<\/a>, and Color Therapy Restorative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joico.lat\/en\/hair-care\/k-pak-color-therapy-oil\/\">Styling Oil<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What I\u2019m eating when no one\u2019s looking:<\/strong> Chocolate.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>If anyone could dress me:<\/strong> I love the clothes from Zara and Calvin Klein, both for onstage basics as well as for an eclectic mix of everyday looks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s on my feet:<\/strong> A bright red pedicure and strappy sandals to show it off!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can\u2019t live without:<\/strong> K-PAK Reconstructor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My influencers:<\/strong> My life influencers and my parents and my wonderful hubby. My work influencers include Sue Pemberton, Guillermo Flores, Sharon Blain, and Martin Hillier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guiltiest pleasure:<\/strong> Stealing my client selfies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biggest misconception about hairdressers:<\/strong> That we\u2019re too dumb to have studied a \u201creal\u201d career (If they only knew!!).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What I\u2019m known best for:<\/strong> Making sure hair stays healthy and creating great color. But, apparently, I also have the equivalent of a \u201cgreen thumb\u201d with hair\u2013my clients swear that once I cut theirs, it just grows and grows!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oddest job:<\/strong> I used to sell long distance service for AT&amp;T door-to-door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why hair:<\/strong> Doing hair is a living, breathing, and very variable art form\u2026and I love art. I especially love the elements that vary from person to person, making every single head of hair a challenge\u2026a good challenge is something I truly enjoy.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;14518&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>If not hair:<\/strong>I\u2019d be an elementary school art or music teacher, a high school history or literature teacher, and interior decorator, a fashion designer, or a broadcast journalist\u2026 my interests are vast!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The look I never want to see again:<\/strong> Flat tops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This hairstyle\/color will never bore me:<\/strong> I\u2019ll never grow bored of any hairstyle or color as long as it\u2019s suitable for whomever I\u2019m working on\u2014whether it\u2019s trendy at the moment or not. One of the things I really enjoy is studying the \u201cwhy\u201d of a particular haircut or color\u2026why it works on one person, but doesn\u2019t on another.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best advice ever:<\/strong>Perfect the skills that you\u2019re good at; really work on those you\u2019re not.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI\u2019ve made it\u201d moment:<\/strong> When I was asked to collaborate on the making of a trend collection, and then seeing my work IN PRINT[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>What\u2019s playing in my salon:<\/strong> Lounge and House music with the occasional 80\u2019s or 90\u2019s playlist thrown in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tool\/product I\u2019m always reaching for:<\/strong> K-PAK <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joico.lat\/en\/hair-care\/k-pak-smoothing-balm\/\">Smoothing Balm<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joico.lat\/en\/hair-care\/k-pak-color-therapy-oil\/\">K-PAK Color Therapy Restorative Styling Serum<\/a> Cocktail\u2026 a round boar-bristle brush\u2026and my flat iron.
