\nModel has previously colored Level 5 hair. Model was prepped with Defy Damage Pro Series 1<\/a>, in two-inch sections, throughout the entire head. Use short bursts and hold the can 3 to 6 inches away from the head. Then prelightened with Prelightening Formula to level 11 or pale yellow. Shampoo, condition and dry the hair, then proceed to the pre-toning step.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16036″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span>
\nUsing new Blonde Life Quick Tone Liqui-Cr\u00e8me Toners in silver, formula 2, apply formula from roots to ends. Process for 3 minutes or until a silver tone is achieved.<\/p>\n

Tip: These brand-new toners work quickly to give you beautifully and quickly toner results for efficiency, shine and condition right at the shampoo bowl. \nTo make sure the \u201cLoveDip\u201d looks as perfect and as graphic as possible, flat iron the hair straight before starting the technique.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16040″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 4:<\/strong><\/span>
\nNext, divide the hair into four sections, clipping the fringe out of the way, and lay meche at the hairline to prevent color from bleeding or transferring to the other areas.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16038″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 5:<\/strong><\/span>
\nStart at the top of the back section. Take a half inch horizontal slice and apply Color Intensity Limelight from the scalp to half-way down the length of the hair, creating a teardrop shadow root.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16039″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 6:<\/strong><\/span>
\nThin, almost see-through, sections are super important in this technique! You don\u2019t want the two colors to melt together, so we can\u2019t use our fingers to push the color into the hair. Thin sections will help you evenly saturate the hair with your brush.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16041″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 7:<\/strong><\/span>
\nContinue to apply this shade to the back section and fully saturate the top and bottom of each parting.<\/p>\n

TIP:It\u2019s also a good idea to hold the hair firmly to maintain complete control of your partings.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16042″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 8:<\/strong><\/span>
\nNext, move to the front side sections and use the same technique to apply the Limelight Color Intensity shade. Remember to lay a NEW mech over the top parting area as to not get any color transfer.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16043″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 9:<\/strong><\/span>
\nRepeat on the other front side. [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16044″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 10:<\/strong><\/span>
\nMove to the fringe section. Slice finer partings and apply Color Intensity Limelight from the scalp to halfway down. Work from the top of the section down towards the hairline for maximum control in application.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16045″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 11:<\/strong><\/span>
\nMove to the back and lay a fresh meche over the previously colored hair.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16046″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 12:<\/strong><\/span>
\nNext, let\u2019s add the second color! Take a 1-inch horizontal slice parting from the back-nape area and place a pre-cut 2 inch rectangular meche strips as a guide to create a precise line.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16047″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 13:<\/strong><\/span>
\nApply Color Intensity Aqua Flow to the bottom 2 inches. Make sure to fully saturate the thin section. Keep the colors from bleeding together by placing another pre-cut meche strip over the Aqua Flow area.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16048″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 14:<\/strong><\/span>
\nNext, apply a little more Limelight above the Aqua Flow shade. I use the tip of my brush and carefully apply it in an upward motion to keep my lines straight. This will ensure maximum saturation and ensuring the two colors are applied in a precise color blocking method.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16049″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 15:<\/strong><\/span>
\nContinue working up the head in 1-inch partings with Color Intensity Aqua Flow on the ends and touching up the Limelight above. Make sure to fully saturate the top and bottom of each parting with Color Intensity.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16050″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 16:<\/strong><\/span>
\nMove to the side sections and use the same technique we used in the back. Lay a new meche at the top of the section to maintain a clean working area and use a longer meche along the side of the face to keep color off the client\u2019s skin. Use the precut strips like you did in the back and work in thin, horizontal sections from bottom to the top of the side sections. [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16051″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 17:<\/strong><\/span>
\nRepeat on the other side. Notice how applying the Limelight in a tear drop shadow root method gives you the insurance that the color blocking area won\u2019t have the worry of bleeding. After you apply the Aqua Flow formula to the bottom, apply a precut meche strip, then apply Limelight to the rest of the section.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16052″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 18:<\/strong><\/span>
\nContinue this application method until the section is complete. Make sure to apply more Limelight after the Aqua Flow col or blocking to ensure complete saturation.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16053″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 19:<\/strong><\/span>
\nTime for the fringe. Place meche against the hairline, take a horizontal slice parting, and apply Color Intensity Aqua Flow to the ends. Since the hair is shorter here, I only take the color up a half inch.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”16052″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]STEP 20:<\/strong><\/span>
\nRepeat this process until the fringe is complete.
\nLet this process for 20 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly and shampoo with Joico Defy Damage Protective Shampoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n
