Drag it about 2\u201d from the scalp. PRO TIPS: Start the application by parting the hair from the front hairline to the nape, creating two equal halves of the head. Then, take horizontal partings from the hairline and connect to the first divided parting. This will help speed up application time. Use a wide-tooth comb around the hairline to tame shorter hairs and make sure they are covered.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]2.<\/strong> To create the sectioning for the halo foils, take a 2 – 3\u201d wide curved section, starting at the client\u2019s natural part, following the hairline. Connect the two partings at the first parting (which is made in the nape when the base color is applied). You can also subdivide these sections over the ear.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1683828945411{padding-right: 5% !important;padding-left: 5% !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]3.<\/strong> In the halo parting of the front quadrant, take a diagonal-back slice, and using a medium weave (5 – 6 weaves), apply Formula 2. Feather up to the scalp area to soften the line of demarcation. PRO TIP: Be sure to adjust the thickness of your weave to the hair type you\u2019re working on. This model has curly hair, so Kyle didn\u2019t want to use a fine weave, as it would have made the line of demarcation more noticeable when hair is worn naturally curly.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]4.<\/strong> Repeat this twice more in the halo parting of the front quadrant. You should now have a total of 3 foils in this section. This can also be adjusted to your client\u2019s liking or to density of hair. The more foils you have in the halo, the more lightness you will see.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1683828955685{padding-right: 5% !important;padding-left: 5% !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]5.<\/strong> Repeat steps 4 and 5 in the remaining halo sections on the head. You will have 12 – 15 foils total if you are using 3 foils in each quadrant\u2019s halo section. If the client parts their hair to one side, it\u2019s okay to subdivide the larger front section in order to get your section to fit in the foil.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]6.<\/strong> Apply Formula 3 to the remaining hair that\u2019s not foiled. Process for 20 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse. PRO TIP: \u201cI love to give my client a 5-minute scalp massage while they have a hair masque on.
