\u201cGrowing up Hispanic, my favorite thing was learning how to dance with my family. But my mom and my grandmother also taught me that hair and makeup are ALWAYS a thing — my grandma won\u2019t even take a picture without putting on her lipstick first! Maybe that\u2019s why I\u2019m in the beauty industry; it\u2019s one of the things I carry with me. Because I\u2019m mixed, I sometimes want to wear my hair curly and sometimes want to wear it straight, like JLo. Joico enables me to rock both looks!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cMy favorite family tradition is getting together with my siblings and parents on Saturday mornings and eating menudo. Menudo is a tradition in every Hispanic family. The other memory I have is making tamales during the holidays\u2026Christmas and Thanksgiving. We love our food! Our rice, our beans, menudo, posole\u2026.and hope you do, too!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I\u2019ve found that my favorite way to stay connect to my heritage is by visiting Mexico! Every year I plan a trip to deepen my connection.
